I love to bake and cook and experiment in my kitchen (or in anyone who will let me near theirs). I also love to eat fun food with happy people. So these are my stories and adventures and findings. Eat up.

On your list of “Shit I should totally drink” please put down apple cider with a healthy dose of rum on it.  Preferably warm with cinnamon.

Bees are Important

Adventures in smoking meat.  Greg got a new grill with a smoker, and lets say we now eat a lot of grilled and smoked meats.  Here was the first meat to be smoked, a brisket and ribs.

Nugget in a Biscuit.  The magnum opus of Toby Turner (Tobuscus on the YouTubes), is one of the most irritating songs known to man.  So of course my darling boyfriend and the children have been singing it for WEEKS now.  Especially the baby.  Feel free to enjoy it here

So after much singing and prancing about I decided to make this for dinner.  And damn it all if it wasn’t actually pretty good.  Worthy of song?  I don’t know about all that, but for sure worth eating.  It’s easy peasy so here is a quick run down of how I made it all.

The Nugget in a Biscuit

For this all I did was bread some chicken breasts (egg wash and bread crumbs) and baked it at 350 for about 15-20 minutes.  Cut it into chunks and then just baked some biscuits (Pillsbury, I didn’t have the time or inclination to make my own) and *BAM*

I then made mashed potatoes and gave everyone BBQ sauce (MMMMMMMMMMM) and lets just say my 3 year old who is the pickiest eater on the planet was my happiest camper

Nugget in a biscuit.  Win.

Til next time,

K
